Hi, and welcome to the Alchemist’s Kitchen and Home whether this is your first time visiting or returning for more. The topic of this blog post will be a little different from the previous post and a bit of an outlier for the site. Like the title of this post suggests…the struggle has been real and continues to be real.
Since my last post, my expectations for creating content and posting has been pulverized into dust. I had the very bold and unrealistic goal of filming, editing, and uploading a video to my Youtube channel bi-weekly while also posting a blog and recipe weekly. This would be a doable goal that would not have crashed and burned if I did not take on a long-term substitution position while training a new puppy and implementing a new diet requiring more prep than I had previously done. So, yeah. I pretty much set myself up for failure by taking on too much at once without having the routine in practice to sustain such a hefty list of tasks. That was December to March. Crazy whirlwind of events that kept me on toes.
Now it’s April and I feel like I can breathe for the first time in forever. (You like that Frozen reference I just did right there…) So yeah, anyway…I have a little less on my plate, but I am going to load it right back up!
I have almost fully taken over the management of my husband and I’s rental property. I have started my seedlings for my indoor hydroponic greens garden. A few of the plants will be transplanted to an outdoor raised bed once they mature: tomato, summer squash, zucchini, bell peppers, pumpkins, tomatoes, and brussel sprouts. At some point, I want to find time to have a workout or yoga session but I am not sure where I will fit it in.
It is my hope to begin resuming some DIY projects, planting more flowers and shrubs outdoors, and spending more time in the kitchen trying out new recipes I can share with everyone here. I know during the summer I will have more time to dedicate towards this blog that all of you take the time to read and browse! I am so excited to spend more time writing and sharing the progress of my projects as well as my new indoor and outdoor garden with you all!
Thank you for being here! See you next time. Hopefully, it will be over a recipe drop or a project update!
